IS IT REALLY OVER? – 03/07/05

Did We Really Make It?

March is upon us.  The Oscars are now over, marking the 1 year point from our first fundraiser.    And we spent it shooting, good for us.

The Special Thanks are as follows;

Bruce Kalk – He got us the room with his vast academic contacts.

James Walsh – James made getting the room “official”.  His knowledge of men’s wigs and scarves came in handy too.

Neil Weathers & Matt Tullo took time away from their escalating family commitments.  Matt was on point as always.  And Neil’s He-Man costume is a scene stopper.

David Maher & Rich DeFlumeri both has made multiple interstate commutes to see this shoot through to its completion.  Rich continues to berate us all with his fiendishly clever sass talk.  Dave continues to remind me that I can drink more if I set my mind to it, also that no party is complete until Nelson puts his dick in a VCR.

Rachael & Spencer Maher for completing their participation in the film.  And I must say we were all proud of Spencer for finding his true motivation in the film and in all of life, to be a good boy.

Kelly Boucher also completed her shooting, and remains a constant reminder how much more professional she is than Neil.

Christopher Maher and Mike Manna continue to steal every scene they are in.  With the right props and costumes there is no stopping them.  Unless one of those props is a megaphone, then they should be stopped.  Immediately.

Les and Pat Tullo, Les came out from Waterbury on his day off to do just a few short bits while he was really sick.  Les completed his shooting as Rocco, and Pat was good enough to drive him.  Two of the nicest people I’ve ever known.

Nikki Morin for coming out to be in just a few quick shots, and doing them all splendidly.

Kevin Montagna, who gave up his Sunday to hang out and help move shit around, making my day that much easier.  He was also able to get a few laughs from everyone’s performances.

Matt Keating & Mike Skinner who manage to help me despite their overwhelming obligations to other people.  While they were deep in the throws of a massive tech for a school production, they both made the time to make sure I had all the props and costumes I requested.

Justin, Ted, Matt, and Sean, may co-workers who came out on their day off to be extras for us in the He-Man audition.  And a very big thanks to Justin for getting more people and a Cannon XL-1!

The next step is to await the arrival of the computer.  And then, postproduction goes into full swing.  Good help me, I may never see the light of day again.  I will be in touch.
