EDITING HAS BEGUN!!! - 04/14/05
It Was Bound to Happen, Eventually!
Yes, I realize we've been down this road before. But now there is no excuse. My new mac has been here for
a week now and I put a minimum of 4 hours a day into cutting through the footage.
The first phase is well underway. From all the footage we have so far, there is 29 hours to go through. Luckily I had a chance to do a marathon viewing this past winter, so I have a good handle on what I want and need. This first part requires me widdling away all the crap and just getting down to what is useable and desirable. From that, there will be 3 to 4 hours of good footage. And from there I plan to cut a film that is no longer than 90 minutes. It's going to be a long summer. But a productive one, too!
This is the time when the work and sacrafice we all made starts to pay off. Mostly because, as I watch the footage in the correct order, I see the film not only works...but is really fucking funny.
I encourage all of you to come by and check out what I'm doing. It always helps to get outside perspective on what I'm doing. My only real regret is not having been doing this during the shooting. Next time, next time...
I encourge y'all to look into the Mac Mini. iTunes is far more addictive than any video game I've ever
played. That shit is tight!
